In October 2010, China Steel Research and Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group's researchers and production personnel began smelting work based on multiple rounds of laboratory tests. A month later, they successfully developed the third generation of automotive steel hot-rolled coils and cold-rolled sheets in industrial production processes, with a strong plastic product volume exceeding 30 GPa%, and the first to develop the third-generation automotive steel products internationally.
