The ES100A has a main power supply and a sub power supply. The discharge waveforms are adjusted by the synchronous control of the discharge timing of the main and sub power supplies. Moreover, the speed of moving the electrode up and down before and after the discharge was also increased to 20 m/min, which is equivalent to 4 times the original value. As a result, the processing time was reduced by about 65% even with the same processing electrode as the original. The amount of electrode wear does not change.

Electro-discharge machining is an arc discharge that occurs between the electrode and the workpiece (mold steel, etc.), which melts the workpiece to a point. Each discharge will leave a discharge pit on the surface. In the past, the discharge pits were small, and when the molds were used for processing, the resin was sometimes embedded in fine pits, resulting in a reduction in mold release properties of the molded articles. It is said that the "Flower Pattern" technology that expands this discharge pit is said to increase the mold release property, extend the life of the mold, and improve the maintainability.
